A native of the Pacific Northwest, I became enamored with photography at a very young age and came up shooting black and white film on my parent's camera; a much-loved Canon AE-1, circa mid-1970s. I was unapologetically slow to make the transition to digital and remain a total purist at heart. Educationally, I have built a solid foundation in the Arts, with a BA in Studio Art from Linfield University in McMinnville, Oregon and a MA in Modern Art History, Theory, and Criticism from Azusa Pacific University in California.
My professional background is in the food and beverage industry. With 20+ years of experience, I eventually transitioned over to the marketing side of operations following Covid. Prior to the pandemic, I was fortunate to spend a number of years working in the wine industry of the Willamette Valley, providing marketing photography for Torii Mor Winery.
Since launching in 2020, I have had the pleasure of working with a number of restaurants and hotels between Portland and Eugene, creating full menu and location portfolios. It has been especially gratifying to witness and contribute in a small way to the resurgence of the restaurant and hospitality industries.
